Almanaclopedia collects nothing about you. This page explains exactly what that means, in enough detail that you can check it yourself.
There is no sign-up on this site, no login, and no account to create. There is no analytics service, no advertising network, no tag manager, no embedded video, no comment widget, no social button, and no cookie banner, because there are no cookies to ask you about. Every page is a static HTML file, and every calculator runs entirely in your browser.
You do not have to take that on faith. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and reload any page on this site: every request you see will be to this domain. Fonts, styles, scripts, and data are all served from here.
Your salary, your rent, your debt balances, the state you live in: every figure you put into a calculator is used by JavaScript running inside your own browser and is never transmitted anywhere. There is no server to receive it. Nothing is stored between visits either, so closing the tab discards it. That also means the site cannot restore your numbers for you later, which is the trade-off of not having accounts.
Two small exceptions, both stored only in your own browser and readable only by this site: your chosen colour theme and your chosen voice are remembered in localStorage so the site does not reset every time you open a page. They contain nothing but the name of the theme and the name of the voice. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Almanaclopedia uses Fraunces, Public Sans and IBM Plex Mono. These were previously loaded from Google Fonts, which meant your browser contacted Google on every page load and disclosed your IP address and user agent in the process. The font files are now hosted on this domain instead, so that request no longer happens. All three are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; the full licence text ships alongside them.
This site is served by a web host, and web hosts keep their own server logs, typically recording IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and user agents for a limited period. That is ordinary infrastructure logging that happens for any website you visit. It is worth being precise about what we do with it: the host shows us aggregate traffic statistics derived from those logs, so we can see roughly how many people visited, which pages they landed on, and which countries they came from. We look at that. What we do not do is run any analytics script on this site, set any tracking cookie, or connect that traffic data to anything you type into a calculator, because the numbers you type never leave your browser in the first place. If the host's own logging matters to you, its privacy policy governs it.
The about page notes that some pages may eventually carry advertising to help cover hosting and development. If that happens, or if anything else here stops being accurate, this page gets updated before the change ships, not after. Nothing described above is a promise about the future; it is a description of exactly how the site works today.
